Today we were lucky enough to get a special visit from Stina’s mum Linda who owns a business called Stina’s Style. She specialises in children’s accessories such as Baby Play Mats and Tee Pees (look her up on facebook to check out her products).
Over the last few weeks Lauren has been busy putting the hand prints of the children onto the calico material that Linda provided us with, before returning the material back to her so she could get a start on our Tee Pee.
Today she came back in to put the finishing touches together with the help of the children. She came equipped with her sewing machine, poles and heavy duty scissors and her assistant Stina by her side. The children sat on our mat and listened as Stina’s mum explained the different tools we would need to make our Tee Pee and then sat down to show us how the sewing machine worked with the help of Stina.
The children were able to have a turn of the sewing machine pedal if they wanted to, which made the needle go! Some had a little trouble pressing the pedal down but listened carefully to the instructions given. Once the Tee Pee was completed they got a chance to have a turn sitting inside, which they found very exciting!
Thank you so much Linda for the time and effort you have put in for our beautiful Tee Pee we can’t wait for the hours of fun we will spend using it!
